My love of writing is not about churning out products, but rather commitment to a process. Writing is how I can be exactly who I am when no one is paying attention, or when all eyes are on me. I am--in all circumstances--unwavering.

 

I hear and heed my voice. It hums and heartbeats and wakes me in the night. More than mere sound or shape or sentiment, my voice is raw, real, paradoxical. I can mold it into forms, or let it be as it is--free. And freeing. Yes, words can do this!

 

And so much more. Let them show you. Be roused by words. In the middle of the night and in the searing sun of day. Allow yourself to be awakened to all that you are. It is everything.
